NWA FAN FEST

So this year the NWA Fan Fest was in Atlanta instead of Charlotte, NC. Made things easier for Bobby and me. The event took place August 4th-7th. We arrived Thursday the 4th around 3pm and the first thing that impress me was there was no line at all to pick up our VIP passes. Prior years, we had to wait over an hour in a long line to pick up our stuff.

Thursday Night start off with Bill Eadie doing a Q&A. Eadie was great. Bill Eadie a/k/a Masked Superstar is one of the coolest guy in the wrestling business. After him came David Shultz and Eddie Mansfield. David Shultz is famous for slapping an reporter around on 20/20 years ago when he was ask if wrestling was fake. Eddie Mansfield expose the wrestling business to the same reporter causing Eddie to get blackball from many wrestling territories. Didn't care too much for this Q&A as Eddie would not shut up and keep saying the same things over and over again. Plus he was kissing David's ass every chance he got. Another thing he did was bad mouth Ole Anderson which is a no no at these conventions. Ole is everyone's favorite. David was very low key not like his wrestling profile. In fact I would say during his wrestling days David was Stone Cold Steve Austin before there was a Stone Cold Steve Austin. David was very outgoing at the end and spent almost 30 minutes after the Q&A talking to everyone and taking pictures.

The night ended with Stan Hanson. Stan was always one of my favorites. He was very friendly and promoted his book. Stan talked about his career and wrestling in WWE, Japan and Georgia. It was a great way to end the night.
